Fresh Chèvre and “Island Skyr”
Made on Maui
Our fresh chèvre is made from the milk of Haleakala Creamery’s goats. It is a mild, soft cheese that is perfect for spreading on crackers and sandwiches, for topping a salad or just eating with a spoon!
In addition to our chèvre, we also make our own Haleakala Creamery “Island Skyr.” Skyr is an cultured dairy product that originated in Iceland and offers the consistency of a Greek yogurt. Our “Island Skyr” is our take on the smooth and tangy skyr style, made with our fresh goat’s milk of course! Full of probiotics and protein, Haleakala Creamery’s rich and creamy “Island Skyr” is complemented perfectly with fresh fruit, honey, granola or all of the above.
You can find our Maui-made chèvre and “Island Skyr” at Maui’s Upcountry Farmers Market in Kula on Saturday mornings, or during one of our farm tours. Haleakala Creamery is also proud to provide our chèvre seasonally to several restaurants on Maui.
